Brick sketch
As fun as those were, let's get to some actual MOCs. Chris McVeigh built another of his brick sketches.

Ant-Man week
I know, I'm a week behind, but I've seen a ton of great Ant-Man stuff recently, so I figured I'd do a small series. First up, here's a movie poster that LEGO put out.

Comic-Con
In recent years LEGO has used Comic-Con International in San Diego as the forum to release news about geek-themes (e.g. DC and Marvel Super Heroes, Lord of the Rings, etc), and they also have some exclusives for Con attendees. This year is no exception. Two of the minifig giveaways will be Arsenal and Sam Wilson as Captain America. I have not read how they will handle the giveaways this year; this has been a contentious issue in previous years, but hopefully they've worked out the kinks. There will also be this Superman set for sale that recreates the classic Action Comics #1 cover.

Hulkbuster
LEGO professionals built this amazing Hulkbuster that was on display as part of the events surrounding the Avengers: Age of Ultron premiere in London yesterday.

Age of Ultron
Olive Seon is a group of professional Korean LEGO builders know for making huge detailed displays. Their latest is Avengers: Age of Ultron. BTW, LEGO comic fans should also check out their recent Chima vs Heroes for some more Avengers action.

Marvel-ous mosaics
I'm not sure who made all of these Marvel mosaics that were on display at Emerald City Comic-Con. The Spidey one was by Josh Wedin, so I assume the others are by him or one of his fellow SEALUG members.

Batman Returns
Tim Lydy made this rendition of the Batman Returns movie poster. BTW, I'm tagging this as 'cover' because I think recreating a movie poster is a similar challenge to recreating a comic cover.

Gotham Theater Showdown
Paul Heatherington built this awesome Joker vs Batman scene that was on display at the recent Bricks Cascade gathering. It looks like it won an award, but I can't read what the award is. This MOC is not yet in Paul's photostream, so you will probably want to check back there in a week or so to see more pictures.

He-Man VS Skeletor
He-Man VS Skeletor by Kevin Ryhal. I was equivocating on whether or not this 'counts' as a comic MOC, since I really see this as the 80's cartoon, but DC has an ongoing series (and there was apparently a previous run in Marvel), and this is such a cool MOC. That said, I'm not going to turn this into a Star Wars blog just because there have been Star Wars comic lines.
