Helenapuck made this pouch for her son to carry his Nintendo DS. She asked her boys what they wanted on their bags, and Jakob chose LEGO Spider-Man.

Quick change artist

I wonder if this scene from Legoland Windsor was put there as a little hint that they were about to announce the DC license.

Batman

This Batman sculpture was also built by LEGO professionals. I'm not sure where it was on display recently, but I think it was first produced in promotion of the LEGO Batman video game.

Kickin A'

Not technically from a comic, but Iain Heath, aka Ochre Jelly, of The Living Brick made Kick Ass and Hit Girl.
-Oops- As pointed out in the comments, I guess the movie was based on an actual comic.
-One more edit- I've also corrected the builder, above.

Cyclops

More Mike Napolitan: Cyclops

Timing of the new licenses

There's been some question about the timing of the new releases. Polywen was at the San Diego ComicCon (and got one of the Green Lantern figs, lucky dude) and he got some indication from the people in the LEGO booth. He doesn't remember exactly who said it, but he said it comes down to existing licenses. DC has a current license with Fisher Price (as part of their TRIO Building System), and Marvel currently has a license for building block toys with Mega Bloks. The word is that the LEGO licenses will kick in when these existing licenses expire in January and May 2012, respectively.
