Lizard

For yesterday's post I realized that I never fully featured Xenomurphy's Spider-Man vs the Lizard, so I'd like to rectify that omission.

He later noted that he dismantled that scene, but used the Lizard again. I really love all of his custom stickers, both here and in the subway scene above. And his other Spidey and Superman MOCs as well, for that matter.

Spidey vs the Green Goblin

I know others have already posted this, but I can't skip over Mr. Xenomurphy's amazing rendition of Spider-Man versus the Green Goblin. This whole thing is full of incredible build details. Even if there was no comic-book content, just the apartment building would be an amazing MOC to ponder. Also note that explosion, perhaps the best I've ever seen in LEGO form.

His custom Green Goblin is a great creation in its own right.

I love how he tends to make comic book covers out of his MOCs.

The graffiti is a little inside nod to Frank Dillane, who was up for the role of Peter/Spidey in the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man movie. I guess Xenomurphy is unhappy that Andrew Garfield ended up with the part.

Also, some good news, Xenomurphy promises at least one additional Spidey scene in addition to this and his previous Sandman and Lizard scenes.

Crow

Xenomurphy made this amazing image of the Crow. I guess the lighting effect here is real and not some photoshop trickery. He says this was lit from beneath - presumably the trans elements are on top of holes in the base so that light is carried up through them.

More Flash

Mark Sandlin made this great little wind-up Flash. I have to admit a little confusion here in that I don't know if there was ever an African American to don the mantle of the Flash. There was a super-fast member of the Global Guardians named Impala who was first introduced in relation to the Flash, but he had a very different uniform. Anyway, regardless, the flying dirt and the hand-crank background here are brilliant. - Oops, further information helps here. He built this for his friend who is both African American and a huge fan of the Flash. Be sure to watch the video.

Avengers vs Doombots

Mike Napolitan turns in another great scene: Avengers vs Doombots. Deep inside his castle, Dr. Doom watches the Avengers fighting his robot army.

Dark Knight

DARKspawn is back from a LEGO hiatus, and he shares this medieval version of Batman. I hope he continues on with this idea, as I'd love to see the medieval take on the Batmobile, or the Batcave.

Batwing

This has already been featured on Brick Heroes and FBTB, but it's way too cool to pass over, so I'll jump on the bandwagon and feature Hans Dendauw's amazing Batwing. He incorporated lights, so be sure to follow the link and check out the low-light photos as well for a great effect.

Braniac attack

There are a number of great MOCs posted in the past couple of months that I didn't get blogged, so I'll try to get through them. Mr Xenomurphy's Superman & Young Justice vs. Brainiac is surely one of the best comic-themed LEGO creations I've seen recently. I particularly like his reinterpretation of the Daily Planet headquarters.

A few days ago the winners were announced in the Eurobricks Batman contest, and Skrytsson won both categories with his Dark Knight and Croc's sewer entries.

And Lois is in trouble ... again

Okayaraman made a great Superman vs Braniac battle. I particularly love how he did the classic Daily Planet icon.

Joker makes a withdrawal

2 Much Caffeine presents Joker makes a withdrawal: "All units, all units... Robbery in progress at Gotham City Bank... Officers down at scene..."
BTW, this is an entry for the Eurobricks LEGO Batman Contest. More on that in a future post.
