You light up my life

Kristi McWii built a couple of hero-related lights, Batman's Bat-signal and this custom GL's Lantern.

In brightest day ...

V&A Steamworks has an ongoing Cabinet of Curiosities project, where he invites other AFOLs to contribute small MOCs to a group display. NorbyZero made this great version of the Green Lantern's power ring.

Wheels of Justice

During my near-month-hiatus from blogging, I totally missed the Wheels of Justice contest over at FBTB, that challenged people to build cars for the Green Lantern and Batman. Entries are now closed, and it doesn't look like voting has started, but two of my favorites include Cole Blaq's Emerald Thunder and SPARKART's Electric BATWInG Batmobile.

ComicCon (an older one in Phoenix, not the current one)

These mosaics were on display at the recent Phoenix ComicCon. Again, I think this photo is by a con attendee, so I don't know the builder.

Mosaics

Dave Ware made a number of mosaics to display at the recent Calgary Comic Expo, including Cyclops, Colossus, Green Lantern and the Thing.

In brightest day ...

Chris Doyle has been busy. In addition to the logo mosaics that I've featured here before, he also made some cube-dudes, like the classic Hal seen here (btw, that Superman I noted yesterday was indeed by Chris).

Rainbow Lanterns

In the past few years the DC Universe was expanded by several other Lantern Corps to supplement the Green Lantern Corps and their Yellow adversaries led by Sinestro. The Blue Lanterns, powered by hope, and the Red Lanterns, powered by rage, played pivotal roles in the recent Blackest Night crossover storyline. At one point, Hal Jordan was taken over by a red ring, but this was then destroyed when he took on a blue ring. Kaminoan gives us these incarnations based on a decal design by Chris Campbell.

In brightest day, in blackest night ...

Looking at the photos from Brick Bash that led to yesterday's post, I noticed that Chris Doyle also made a great Green Lantern logo mosaic, achieving the effect in an interesting way by varying the texture rather than the color.

No evil shall escape my sight

If you went to a movie this weekend, you very well may have seen the trailer for the upcoming Green Lantern movie. Seems like a good enough reason to look at a few variations on old Hal. Mariann Asanuma made a miniland version. Angus McLane made this cubedude. There are a lot of custom minifigs out there, but I like how Quinn took on several members of the Green Lantern Corps.
